Ann Race
Registered Manager
Ann holds a City and Guilds Advanced Management for Care qualification, Management Skills in the Care Environment Award and NVQ 4 Registered Manager’s Award and has worked at the Abbey since 1992. She often brings her family and two dogs for visits with the residents.
Amy Matta
Deputy Manager
Amy has worked in healthcare for over a decade and brings a wealth of experience to the role with her diploma in Adult Nursing. She is passionate about learning, having passed CertHE in Health Care Management and is currently studying for a Batchelors Degree in Healthcare Management. She is a busy mother and her spare time is dedicated to her family.
Kelli Moore
Assistant Manager
Kelli has worked in the care sector for nearly 20 years. She holds a Level 5 City & Guilds Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care and Children and Young Peoples Services- Adults' Management. With her encyclopaedic knowledge of medication, she maintains a huge network of connections with local providers. Her spare time is taken up with her young family and she enjoys spending time with them.
Gemma Skelton
Assistant Manager
Gemma has worked in the care sector for 21 years starting out at The Abbey as a care apprentice. After 7 years she went on to manage a domiciliary care team in extra care housing, followed by a job in the discharge team at Scarborough Hospital. More recently she worked with a group of GP surgeries looking after patients in care homes until she returned "home" to The Abbey in 2022. She holds a Level 5 City & Guilds Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care and Children and Young Peoples Services- Adults' Management. In her spare time she enjoys dog walking and pilates.
Admin Office
Our admin office is staffed by Mandy Radford, Jo Berry and Emma Cutts. Mandy and Jo have worked in the Public and Private Sector in various roles and bring a wealth of customer experience to The Abbey. This is complimented by Emma who has 20 years experience in the Care Sector. They are always happy to assist you with queries and always provide a warm welcome to the home.
House Keeping
Our House Keeping Team is led by Joni Bennet who started as care staff in 2017. She has since become Head Housekeeper who along with her team keep The Abbey sparkling.
Catering
The catering team is led by Fiona Hornsby supported by Jackie and Elena. They use locally sourced food to produce a varied and interesting menu, which is designed in conjunction with our residents' preferences.
